Hi,
When using a widescreen LCD does that mean the aspect ratio of the screen changed (in respect to a regular screen format) and all my games are now stretched horizontally?

Is a widescreen only good for movies? Or is there an advantage also otherwise? CAD/business applications?

Thanks
ds

I recently bought a 19" wide screen, and I had the same questions. The aspect ratio varies depending on the screen size. As for your games, it depends. The game may support a wide screen resolution, and if it doesn't, then yes, it will be stretched horizontally.
I prefer a wide screen because it is the future. almost all new games are supporting wide screen resolutions, and wide screens are so much bigger. They are also great for movies.

Go with a wide screen, you wont regret it
