Will 1066 Rambus have any trouble ocing? My stock cpu is a 2.8b. I have gotten it to 3.2 with the oc and I was wondering if I can hold that without damaging anything. The Oc is fine without a volt up. I think rambus runs a bit hot as it is.

Sounds like you got REAL PC1066. Many companies (like OCZ) were selling PC800-40 relabled/reprogramed as PC1066, and it ran HOT at stock settings (mine occasionally crashed at stock speed). As long as it's not crashing, you're probably fine.

I was just wondering if it would "Hurt" the memory by ocing it.. I can get 3.15Ghz from 2.8! not to shabby and be stable. Only thing was I had to up the Vcore on the Proc by .o5 Volts.

Those 1066 ram most of the time is always OCED so there will be heat issues and errors made. Do the memtest for few hours at the OCed speeds to check it out.

If it runs as fast as he's already had it, it's not the overclocked PC800-40 but true PC1066 (35ns).

The best thing you can do is to look at the ram module. There 4 speed 45 40 35 32 the lower the better.32 and 35 can overclock at 1200 to 1333 without probleme. Some 32NS reach even higher.

i need to change useur name.
