New Laptop Buyer. PLZ HELP

1_What is your budget? in dollars... $2500 no more

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? well pref. a 17" but anything bigger than 15.4 will do

3_What screen resolution do you want? the bigger the better

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Desktop replacement

5_How much battery life do you need? honestly... none, its gonna be on my desk Lol... *desktop* replacement =)

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? yes, ok the idea is 2 be able to buy whatever game i like without having to look at recommended specs on the box... so pretty much a laptop that covers all games between medium and high graphics

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, surfing the web, playing music, watching movies, Etc.) movies, music and net... that is why i wudnt mind a larger screen, i want a semi-portable home theatre system

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? between 300 and 400 gig... nothing excessive

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop? as long as possible... they aren't exactally 2 a penny

11_If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them. a monster cpu would be nice... oh and it must be fairly quiet, i also dont want to have many probs (who does)

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. alienware (1 prob, so many desireable extras and limited budget), toshiba, the X300 looks so king and with a harmon & kardon sound system i dont even need to waste cash on speakers, i dont really know much about the rest

13_What country do you live in? South Africa (no i dont ride to school on an elephant =) <--- just an fyi
