Hi, I am interested in purchasing an Athlon 64 3000+. However I am wondering if I can still use the same memory which I purchased with my Athlon XP 1800+ 2 years. It's DDR RAM. Do I need PC3200 or sumthing?

any help appreciated.

You can probly use the memory(please state the type/speed)but it will probly be a performance bottleneck.
Pc3200 is ideal for A64, if you have the extra $$ get Crucial Ballistix or OCZ EB, otherwise buy Value series from any major manufacturer.

Go with 1 stick of 512 or one of 1 gig depending on how much ram you want, better upgradability.

Asus P4P800DX, P4C 2.6ghz@3.25ghz, 2X512 OCZ PC4000 3-4-4-8, Leadtek FX5900 w/ FX5950U bios@500/1000, 2X30gig Raid0
