Why are logitec speakers much cheaper than Klipsch speakers?

Mabie because Klipsch put more effort into the quality in the speakers? I dont know.

What other 5.1 systems have you had/listend to before?

Dont let a beefy sub fool you, mids and highs are half the sound too. I was fooled by my speakers because the sub was boomy and I ignored the qualiy of the other speakers and I regret my decision once I looked past the bass.

Eh... Dont let me rain on your parade...

Happy is happy I guess. They were fairly cheap no?

Seems like a good deal.

The logitech speakers are great, sure the Klispch are technically a little better, however for being slightly better you pay 2-3 times the price. Not worth it, for most.

I've had to sets of Logitech speakers now, and I am sure I will continue buy them in the furture, because they sound great. You can't beat the sound/price ratio of those speakers. The sound better than most things you can buy, and don't cost a fortune.

It is a shame that Klipsch speakers are pricy, but the difference is not small. The 680's are realy the only ones to compare them with. IMO

680's cost $240 newegg
Promedia Ultras $340

Thats $140 away from double!.!.!
That is without the Klipsch DD.

680's sound anemic and lack quality in the crossovers. Sound quality is nice, but thats about it. Nice.
The idea that Logitech uses 1-way speakers is as bad as they sound in the mid-range area.

If you need a "nice" versitle system. Logitech is for you.
If you want quality for a price that quality demands, then Klipsch is for you.

IMO: It makes sence to buy speakers from a company that doesnt spend most of their time on the Digital Decoder and trying to get proper freq. responce from a 1-way speaker!
