My dell laptop keys are not working properly

the keys stop working at certain times and sometimes they work just fine i was just wanting to find out what the problem is?

Hi Jon, welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums,
Couple of questions here for clarification...
When did this first occur (that you noticed)?
Do the keys not respond at all or do they respond a few seconds later?
Is there any action in particular that will make the keys stop working such as playing Crysis while splicing multi-layer video or typing in MS Word or?
Last, what model Dell?

Hi, stepped out for afew days but I did come across this support page from Dell which addresses a few different keyboard issues - hopefully one is right (with the proper correction) for your model
