Hello @ll

Ive just purchased a new high end gaming system and im on the lookout for a LCD monitor for it.

Ive looked at a few and can't really make up my mind.
What i expect from a monitor is:

Excellent gaming and movie performance....
Futureproof - full HDCP compliancy (1080p)
Ability to connnect my future Playstation 3 to it.

It has to be 24" to 27" - i want a 19x12 native res....i know there are 30" models available but 2560x1600 is an overkill and its simply too big (im sitting pretty close to it).

Im not considering dual monitor simply because lack of space and SLI (8800GTX) which will not work with duals.

Ive found a few so far and can't really decide...

DELL 2407
SAMSUNG 244T
BENQ 241W

What also caught my eye is a new NEC 26" (it's 25.5 in fact) LCD2690WUXi monitor - the specs are excellent but i wasnt able to find any single review of this one....i dont even know what type of LCD screen NEC uses in it and if itll be suitable for gaming and watching movies.

There is also the new 27 inch Dell coming out pretty soon....

For now my choice is Samsung 244T - but any other opininions would be appreciated.

Best regards

The NEC has an IPS panel. The others have either some form of VA or IPS. All will be excellent overall, but not the fastest gamers (TN panels).
