Hey everyone, I am spanking new here but have heard great things about the community!

Anyway, I will get down to business.

I am helping my dad pick out a new laptop for him to use... What he is looking for are these things:

1. Working with pictures
2. Working with video
3. Watching videos
4. The use of Powerpoints / and general office programs
5. Email and general use of internet

Now, we have both reviewed a computer that looks very solid for these uses and just wanted to get a second opinion on it!

Here is the computer:

- It got almost perfect reviews! The only thing I guess I was really wondering about is the graphics card... tried doing some research on it, and I could not find anything on it. Was just wondering if it will be prime for what he wants to do... Is 512 MB of video memory enough?

Anyway, everything else in my eyes looks great on the computer and for the price its going I'd say its a damn good deal!

Well, thats all I got... Thanks for reading and if anyone has any comments on it... Feel free to drop your 2 cents!

Thanks, Bas :)

It's alright. It lacks in screen resolution (really needed for photo and video work), but that depends on your budget.

The GPU is an ATI 3670, which isn't too bad. The only reason he'd need it if he was to play HD videos - other than that, it doesn't give him anything more. 512MB of video memory is overkill for such a low resolution screen, but since he's not gaming it doesn't really matter.
