i just picked up a used acer 5630 from a reliable source, it was working fine, except it had some partitions that i wanted to change. I started formating using a windows xp pro disc. got pretty much through it until the computer shut off!
I booted it up and tried again with the same result, now it will only turn on for about a second, the battery light is on when plugged in.

What could be happening, is it a motherboard problem, some other forums lead me to that but with no answeres, the sepc on it are 1.6 core 2 duo, 1 gb ram.

Any ideas how to trouble shoot? I have looked through the acer manuals with no luck, PLEASE HELP!!!!

Take it apart piece by piece until you find a config that boots correctly.
