HP C3150 doesn't work?

okay here's the story I have an old dell dimension 8200 and my old printer bit the dust. So I got a new HP C3150. I had reformated the HD on my 8200, but I reinstalled all the drivers including the ones that came with the printer. Still it does not work. What gives? The printer works fine for copying and can print photos off my friends powerbook G4, but it doesn't work when hooked up to the 8200.

okay nevermind I found out I was connecting it to a dead USB port (it had power, but no data transfer) So the computer wasn't recognizing the printer.
