1_What is your budget?
below $850.
2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
3_What screen resolution do you want?
Not sure.
4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Want to carry it around so must be reasonably ligh (no 7.5 lbs monsters)
5_How much battery life do you need?
should run 2-3 hours
6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Yes, it will be mostly used for games (to play another mmo than the desktop...). So dungeon and dragon online and WAR. Would be nice if it could run dawn of war II also. Pretty sure it will have to be in low (most probable) or medium setting
7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, surfing the web, playing music, watching movies, Etc.)
Watching movies will probably be the main use: Ihave lots of different dvds from different countries and zone and want to be able to watch them anywhere in the house instead of tjust the computer room.
8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?
120gb should be enough
9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.
10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?
2-3 years

13_What country do you live in?

For these what would be the better cpu/gpu combo:
a AMD turion x2 (2.2 ghz) with a Ati mobile 3650 video card
or a AMD athlon x2 (2.0 ghz) with a nvidea 9600gt?

definitely not the dell

the sony costs too much

the lenovo has bare minimum graphics

The hp is the best with a 9600, close to best price with best GPU
