OK so I am looking to get an LCD monitor that can display 1080p for the purposes of XBOX 360 gaming and possibly the HD-DVD add-on to the 360 both via VGA cable. What I am confused about is what exactly 1080p translates to on a monitor. I know it is defined as 1920x1080 but no LCD displays have that as their "max," as they are all 1920x1200. Also, on the XBOX 360 you cannot choose 1920x1200 only 1920x1080 (or less) to display. I guess my question is...Will a 1920x1200 monitor displaying my XBOX 360 set to output in 1920x1080 via a VGA connection be displaying 1080p? Thanks in advance and I hope these questions aren't too stupid!
