I have about $200 left in my new gaming PC budget and I'm wondering if I should keep my current 2 1/2 year old, 17" 16ms response Hitachi CML174swx LCD monitor, or can I find a good, fast LCD monitor that is bigger (19" or more, possibly widescreen) for around $200?
Thanks for any help!

(If it matters, here are the specs on my new system: C2D E6600, 4 GB DDR-800 RAM, Geforce 8800 GTS video card, 150 GB Raptor hard drive).

I've actually ordered a 19" monitor:

It's the ViewSonic VX922, with a 2 ms gtg response time. It gets good reviews on Newegg and on Tom's Hardware, so hopefully it will work out. Went a little over my budget, but oh, well... Now we'll see if PC performance has anything to do with dominating in BF 2142!

just a question has anyone tested the viewsonic vx922 with xibitlabs.com to see if the 2ms is real?

I don't know much about testing programs, but here is the Tom's Hardware review of this monitor:

According to them, it is no hype!

It's not real, just like the specs on all monitors, but it is among the lowest out there (5-10ms). It is still among the fastest.
