Due to a myriad of problems, I need to reformat my rig. I have an Abit KR7A mb with 2 80 gig maxtor HDD's in Raid 1. The onboard raid controller is a Highpoint. My question is this: can I use fdisk to reformat the drives? Will it reformat both drives or is there some other proceedure I have to follow? I built this system about 3 years ago and up till just recently it has run very well. Remarkably I have been able to find ALL the drivers.

You can delete partitions, create new partition, format partitions, etc. etc. etc. all during windows setup. No idea why you'd want to mess around with fdisk. The fact that your drive is a RAID1 array is irrelevant at software level, it will just see it as a single drive. The hardware will take care of the rest (i.e. formatting both drives simultaneously).
