I had the LCD replaced and since then, the screen blanks every 5 - 7 seconds. However the display is fine when connected to an external monitor. The techs who replaced the LCD tried 5 different ones and all did the same thing.

The only way the LCD comes back on is by pressing [Fn] [F8], then it goes out again in a few seconds. I replaced the power supply, flashed the BIOS and updated the video drivers.

The screen does stay on when running on battery power only; the problem only occurs with the AC adapter plugged in.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Suggestions?
