Thats incredible. So how long do you think it would take to vibrate lose all the solder connection on your car? I don't think the ECU would be able to take that kind of abuse for very long.
Obvisuly pretty much pointless except for competition use though.

The hard part would be finding an amp that would send signals lower than 20 Hz. Generally amps filter these out, there is a mathmatical formula to calculate what generally happens, but just for example (random numbers off the top of my head), generally if you sent a 5 hz signal to a regular amp, your speakers would more likely recieve a 17-19 Hz, signal.
Gotta love that sub-sonic stuff, the stuff you don't hear, only feel, thats where the Hz, is Hurtz!

Should have won the award for "Most refined application of [-peep-] technology"
Seriously, less than 86db sensitivity? That means a person with a 96db sensitivity speaker can produce the SAME PEAK OUTPUT using 500W, rather than 5000W. The only reason they do this POOR design comprimise is that 500W speakers with such sensitivity don't exist. But 100W units do. And think of that, 100W gets you the same SPL as 1000W. In fact, you'd need at least 100W on YOUR FAVORITE SPEAKER just to hear it murmur! Hah!

I understand it's all about putting out the loudest sound regardless of power requirement, but I'd rather have a couple 50W subs with 96db sensitivity than a couple of those driven with 500W producing the same volume levels. That's right, I'd drive those with 500W at most unless I was at a competition where 5000W would be prefered.
