Howdy.

I'm looking to purchase a new laptop and am looking for a bit of advice. My budget is £600 though am willing to go a bit over if it will get me something that bit better. Specs etc are not a major issue but my partner will want to play Sims 3 on it when it comes out, even if it's on low settings, other than that gaming isn't really our priority. It'll mainly be used for web surfing, storage, writing discs and watching films etc so a decent sized screen (no smaller than 15.4" ) is preferable.

I've had a little look around and found these two:

Is either one of these better than the other? Also if you have any advice about a different laptop that would be appreciated too.

Thanks in advance :)
