Hi guys, I'm wondering when the DVD-R DL burners will be released?
Currently for me the DVD+R DL is useless due to the lack of compatibility with most set top players.
I've been buring on -R format and selling DVD's world wide without any issues, however the +R we always have returns, so we stopped producing DVD's on +R format.

So any word on DVD-R DL will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

I could be wrong, but I believe that DL -R will be available in the next couple months, maybe sometime around jan 2005.

That would likely increase compatability of the written media with standalone players.
