Well, it's been a comical couple of weeks in SPAGland. Our esteemed
mailing list manager Magnus Olsson is on vacation through the month of
July, but still sent out the latest issue of SPAG to subscribers on July
10th. However, due to a freaky mail server jam beyond his control, not
all subscribers received their copy of the issue. I was one of those who
did not receive a mailing, and therefore I thought *nobody* had gotten
the latest SPAG, and was waiting to announce it on the newsgroups until
the problem had gotten fixed. However, I got word from Magnus today that
many subscribers did in fact receive the issue, and that he will attend
to the rest when he returns home in the first week of August. So,
belatedly but sincerely, here is the announcement for SPAG 37:

On May 15th, 1994, Gerry Kevin "Whizzard" Wilson released the first
issue of SPAG. In its editorial, Whizzard announced that "the purpose of
SPAG is the advancement of the modern text adventure." Issue #37 of SPAG
celebrates ten years of pursuing this mission.

Subscribers have already been sent their copy (well, sort of -- see
above. My apologies to those subscribers, such as myself, who didn't
receive a copy this time.), and the rest of you can see it at the SPAG
website, http://www.sparkynet.com/spag. In addition, I've uploaded a
copy to the IF Archive, where it should soon find its home at:

ftp://ftp.ifarchive.org/if-archive/magazines/SPAG/SPAG37

Thank you for ten great years, and thank you for helping to keep text
adventures alive.
