Will a PC2700 SODIMM work in place of PC2100?

I have a Toshiba Notebook that used PC2100 SODIMM Ram. Will a PC2700 SODIMM work in it's place? I see that a 512 stick of PC2700 is less expensive than the slower PC2100. Thanks.

It should, but there's always a chance the BIOS will be programed improperly. I'd try it.
