I'm right near the beginning of the game. If you go back down into
the elevator having already got out of it, can you get up again? I
type 'up' and get told 'he is not here', presumably because Xojo is
too far out of scope to help me back up.

That's odd; when I try it Xojo follows me back down into the lift so
he's always on hand to give me a hand up. How did you manage to to
shake him off?

No idea. I just restarted it, trying to replicate the moves I'd made,
and it behaved exactly as you describe. Weird.
