any news on a level 9 interpreter that allows one to play the bitmap
games? the one that i used before was up to version 3.0 long ago, but
couldnt display graphics on bitmap games.

also, i wonder if there is any way to disable the automatic file
request of this latter level 9 interpreter, so that one can run level
9 games e.g. from a frontend or double click on a level 9 file of a
game. as it is now, it seems that you always get the request to pick a
dat file as soon as the program starts.

A work-in-progress version exists that can cope with Amiga, C64 and some
PC bitmaps, but not all: Level9 seem to have used some sort of compression
scheme for the later ones.

Not currently: this is a bug that will be addressed in a future version.

Great, i'm looking forward to the new version. What bitmaps can it
play? For instance knight orc and lancelot?

The Amiga versions of those are working, but the PC ones aren't. There's
still some work to be done ...
