I restored my PB (operating system only_ choice - created back-up file

i had to repair my PB operating system, since i bought it it won't allow me to make boot disc - always gives error that dvd-disc must be formatted. so i never did it, made a image on acorns though. but now i can't access the back up that was made . even if i tick - show hidden files. i re-installed programs and updated windows 7 an PB to latest updates. as it was before the restore. i am desperate to gain access to my quickbooks auto backup files that should be in this backup folder that i can't access. any help will e appreciated. thank s o much.

Right-click on the folder, go to the security tab and take ownership of the folder.
