I have an hp dv1708nr laptop. It originally came with xp home preinstalled, but i ended up reformatting and installing xp pro instead. I installed all the drivers that were on the hp website, but when i go into my device manager, under "other devices" it has three entries for "Base system device". I have absolutely no clue what these are and I have no idea how to find out. Any ideas?

I think... you're lacking the drivers for your laptop's card reader?
