Hello everybody,

My compaq n800c seems to have lost 1 every 2 columns. This is independent of the screen resolution selected. The resolution is OK when connected to an extenal monitor.

I have (while it was powered on) unmounted and disconnected the LCD (connector behind only) and I have obtained a white screen (this time all columns worked).

Before I start checking for parts, I would like to check if you can identify the source of the problem. I would like to avoid buying a LCD screen if the problem is the mother or video boards. Can it be the invertor ?

Thanks in advance.

Guillermo
