MN-720 (Code 12) issues

Recently bought Wireless-G Kit (MN-820 base and MN-720
adapter). No problems setting up the base station.
However, I am unable to get my laptop to recognize my
adapter. I have an IBM Thinkpad 2366 running XP.

When I try to run the Setup Wizard to install the network
adapter, I insert the adapter into the PMCIA, after which
the New Hardware Wizard looks for "Ethernet Controller"
software on my installation CD. However, I end up with a
message saying that I cannot install this hardware because
it cannot find the software.

I tried to use add the New Hardware (via Control Panel)
application, and was able to install a questionable driver
for MN-720. However I was still unable to use the adapter.
Checking Device Manager showed that I did not have enough
resources (Code 12) to use the adapter.

I've downloaded the latest MSBN setup application from
Microsoft.com, but no difference. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.

What is a Thinkpad 2366 in model # terms? A T30? Does it have built in
wireless? Have you turned the built in wireless off? What operating
system? If XP, can you do a restore back to before you started all of
this?

Then - turn off any built in wireless and see what happens if you
leave the CD in the drive, don't run setup, and insert the card and
let it search for drivers using normal Windows search. You do NOT need
to install the utility software if you are using XP.
