Cd rom configuration for windows 7

Hello,
i have a hp pavilion all in one and my cd drive is not reading any of the discs that i put in. when i check the system it tells me thst the drive is running properly. what should i do?

This is likely an issue with the driver. You should find the model of your DVD drive and go to the manufacturer website to check if it's the most recent version of the driver. Whether it is or isn't, you should try reinstalling the driver by going to Start > Computer > System Properties > Device Manager > open the drop down menu under DVD/CD ROM drives > right click on your DVD drive > click "Uninstall". Once this completes, install the package you would have downloaded from the manufacturer website, and then restart. See if that helps.
