Laptop help please

Hi, Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but yesterday I plugged my printer usb into my usb port on my laptop, and my laptop shut down, and wouldnt turn on again for a few minutes. When it finally did turn on the windows login screen was magnified and sort of pixally, and it took a few minutes to log in. When it did my computer was also really magnified, and the computer said it couldnt access windows login service, and also it couldnt detect my SRS sound, as well as I had no internet. My laptop is an Asus K52JR with an i5, ati hd 5470, and windows 7.

Any help please?

Check Device Manager, any errors in there? If there are, head over to Asus' support site, download the drivers for the devices with the issue and re-install them.

You had a power surge though USB which can cause a motherboard issue, which caused your shut down.
