Hello everyone,

After a while I have decided to go for a laptop instead of a desktop because I think it's more quiet, it is more stylish and, ofcourse, the ability to lay yourself where ever you want and game!

As I'm talking you probably already know I'm talking about the G1 and G2 gaming notebooks from ASUS. Both are beautifull and fast as hell. However I can only wish that the choice between these two would be easy.

Both the G1P and G2P have the same specs. The G1P is a 15"er and the G2P is a 17"

2GB RAM @ 667MHz
Core 2 Duo @ 2.00GHz
160GB Hard drive at 5200 rpm,

which is pretty quiet and the speed wont make such a difference to me, I can wait when it comes to search-harddrive times. As more rpm do not affect my gaming expierience I wont go deeper on the hard drive.

For more specs. about the G1P and G2P go to asus.com

Now my question about these two pretty gaming monsters is:

Which one is the best!?

The G1P (15" ) comes with an nVidia GeForce 7700 and the G2P (17" ) comes with theATi mobility Radeon X1700.

Both these videocards have about the same specs, however the 7700 seems slightly better and faster then the 7700, but just a little.

The fact that the 7700 is faster then the 1700 even when it's just a little..makes me wonder. Why do they put a ''slower'' videocard in a notebook with a bigger screen instead of putting the 7700 in the 17"er and the 1700 in the 15"er?

Maybe it's the screen resolution?

I just can't figure this out and I would like YOUR help.

I'e been reading alot of reviews last days and the best reviews I've read we're the one's at notebookreview.com

Let me know what you think, and which one you'd pick. The price difference between the two is to small to even mention, so don't mind it.

They go for 1700€ and 1800€ so that's only 100€ which i can easily spare for 2 inches more. But is it worth it?

EDIT: Here in belgium, the G1P is slightly more expensive, just like 20 bucks.
