For the last 2 years I've been using the Samsung 213T with these settings:

1280 X 1024 (32 bit)
75 hertz

and my it seems the monitor is hard on my eyes. Is there a better monitor that is easier on the eyes?

thanks

Maybe it's hard on your eyes because you don't have it at native resolution. Also, perhaps you have the brightness turned up too high.

Refresh rate cannot hurt your eyes like it can on a CRT. In addition to what Hose brought up, see this post for some other possible reasons why your eyes might hurt while looking at an LCD monitor: http://forumz.tomshardware.com/ce/ [...] 462#366462

I'm back at the native resolution 1600 x 1200 at 60 hertz and will see how that works for awhile.

BTW I'm using the analog connection.
