How do I record a call with my Palm Pre cell phone to mp3 format?

I want to call a recorded message phone number and record it using my Palm Pre cell phone as a mp3 file, then be able to email it. The Palm Pre does not have a call record function. Do I need to buy a digital recorder and connect the phone headphone jack to the mic jack on the recorder or can I get a special connector to go directly from the cell phone headphone jack to my computer microrphone input jack and record it on the computer? I'm looking for the cheapest way as may only want to do this once a week or so. Thanks for any help with this.
