i know, i know....wrong forum....but if i were to make an autocad scale drawing of my room (2d) could y'all give me some ideas about where to place the speakers?? or is it just kinda where-ever i feel like it?? btw i'm thinking logitech z-680s with a sb audigy2 zs plat card

I wouldn't go through a whole autocad drawing, especially as some people may not have the program to open it. You could do a rough drawing in paint and save it as a JPEG, and it would work fine.
Generally put the sattilete speakers angled towards you, in the correct left/right, front/rear setups. Generally I have always found that subs sound best in a corner of a room, angled diagonally.
Generally to the best thing is to do is just try your speakers in all sorts of different locations, this way you can find that "sweet spot". Lots of stuff in the room, can mess with sound waves, these sort of things wouldn't be on the drawing.

there should be free programs out there...plus i like autocad...its very easy....but i can do an inaccurate crappy drawing w/ inaccurate measurements...but yeah...i'll get it up on here when i get home...when im not sitting in class not paying attention...lol...btw did u play cs 5oh
