Ok...I'm trying to hook up my laptop to my TV. My laptop has a VGA connection. Here's what I thought up, thinking it may work, and for the price it was worth a try..

I'm using a dsub to DVI adapter and then using a DVI to HDMI cable and trying to hook it up to my TV. Is this even possible? I thought it was worth a try. Anyone have any ideas?

You need VGA ro component video.

Try to bring your laptop to the store and try thr connector cord there, make sure it works properly.
