Here is a description of what I experienced. The sides of the screen all of a sudden started bending towards the middle of the screen and a whining noise started to come from the monitor. I turned off the monitor, plugged it back in. Turned it on again. Same thing, next I did something stupid, I tried to degauss the monitor (I realize I should have checked the refresh rate, and/or restarted my computer instead). This is when I heard a small popping noise (similar to a small capacitor exploding??). I am wondering what to do next. Is there a common part that I can order and replace? I have done a quick visual inspection and cannot see any obviously blown parts and I have checked the one fuse I did find (are there more?) and it was fine.
Thank you very much for your time,
