Has anyone done this? Can you please tell me how it went?

A few specific questions:
Do you have to format/lose all data on the hard drives?
What stripe size does it use? Can you choose? If so, which offers the best performance?
Can you boot Windows from the dynamic volume? If not how are you running Windows?

I've read the article before, how I learned it was even possible, buts thats based on Windows2000 and I believe WinXP may be a bit different.
