i have a Dell PowerEdge 1600SC Xeon Dual 2.0GHz SCSI 36GB 10K RPM Ultra 320 68pin SCSI Hard Drive. I want to go to a raid array. Can I do this by installing a promise raid card and disabling the scsi controller??

Thanks

It's not necessary to disable the SCSI controller, a RAID card should be able to work along side it just fine. Won't you need the SCSI for the 36GB drive though? Unless you were thinking of reinstalling the OS on a RAID array, but I'd advise against that, that SCSI drive will be much faster for OS tasks than a non-SCSI RAID.
