I have an asus p4s8x-x and I recently upgraded my CPU from a Celeron 2.4GHz 400MHz fsb to a p4 3.06 GHz 533MHz fsb and there is a noticeable performance increase, although it's not as good as others with similar systems get, when I first built my system I was dumb and naive and got the cheapest gig of ram I could get, I have 1 1GB PC2700 DIMM, I’m still uneducated in the field of ram, but I am wondering if the memory is getting bottle necked in the 1 dimm and causing the studdering when i have high detail on games, i was wondering if adding 2 512MB DIMMs or even another 1GB DIMM would increase performance, also the RAM is 1GB 1024MB true PC2700 (64x8) 333Mhz DDR, what does the 64x8 mean? is 64x8 good/bad/meaningless to performance? also i use a nvidia geforcefx5600
i get 2398 3dmarks and 303CPUmarks on 3dmark03
Any answers on what would increase performance would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
