HP Pavillion DV9000 Laptop with 17" widescreen . Processor is AMD Turion 64x2. Windows Experience rating is 3.6. The operating system is Vista home premium.

There is a fault with the Nvidia Graphics card, either the hardware or the software but not really sure. With the Graphics card driver installed the screen will corrupt (looks mozaic). With the driver uninstalled and with the laptop running the standard graphics driver there is no problem at all
ANY IDEAS GUYS...??

Sounds to me like it could be a driver issue. I would try the Windows Update to see if it pulls the newest Nvidia Driver.

no joy with windows, and tried latest nvidia driver no joy

It is possible that there is an issue with the GPU. How long has this issue gone on? Do you still have the system restore disks?
