I'm looking to purchase a laptop to use for both school and gaming. -- I hope you guys can help me out! Here are the major points I am looking for in this laptop. I'd prefer a PC, but if an exceptional Mac is suggested, I'm open to that too :)

- I primarily want to use it to play WoW, but I'd like it to be powerful enough to play other (newer) games as well.

- I'm looking to spend $1200-1500

- I also want to use this laptop in class, and I would like it to have a minimum battery life of 4 hours while it is only running programs like Word or something similar to take notes.

Additionally, I will be using this laptop in a large lecture hall, so it can't be terribly noisy while its running low intensity applications.
(I have an older Alienware laptop right now and it sounds like a wind tunnel even when its idling on the desktop for some reason)

Thanks!

Good luck on finding a Mac for 1200 to 1500. lol. I bought a Toshiba Satillite and am quite happy with it. Spent less than a grand on it.
