I make a lot of use of removable USB drives for data, as these can easily be
moved from computer to computer. However, depending on how many other
removable devices are plugged in, a particular drive may have a different
drive letter assigned.

The drives all have different Volume names, so I was wondering if it is
possible to create a shortcut which will point to a file using the Volume
name instead of the drive letter - that way the shortcut would always work
regardless of what other drives were plugged in.

Or is there a better way of doing this?

Grateful for any advice
