I just purchased a Dell Latitude with 4GB (2GB x 2) DDR2-800 SDRAM. The processor i chose was a Core 2 Duo P8600 which runs at 2.4 GHz with 1066 FSB. Now I i've read about the FSB being quad pumped so that would give an acual bus speed of 266. Why would Dell be using 800MHZ DDR2 SDRAM (400 actual) in this situation. Wouldnt it make more sense to run it at a ratio closer to 1:1? Seems like 667 would be more ideal and cheaper.
