Hello everyone,

I need to buy a laptop which I will use for CAD (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit), photo editing and possibly a little bit 3D rendering. I don't play games.
Here's a list, from which I have to choose:

ASUS M50VC-AS006, P7350, 4GB 800MHz RAM, 320GB HDD, GeForce 9300M GS 512MB
$835
DELL Studio 1535, T5750, 2GB 667MHz RAM, 250GB HDD, ATI Mobility HD 3450 256MB
$735
DELL Vostro 1510, T5670, 3GB 667MHz RAM, 250GB HDD, GeForce 8400M GS 256MB
$788
DELL XPS 1530, T5750, 2GB 667Mhz RAM, 250GB HDD, GeForce 8600M GT 256MB
$887

Which of these would you recommend for CAD and why? Which is better for CAD - XPS with a faster GPU or ASUS with a faster CPU?

My budget is very restricted and I MUST chose the best among these four.

Best regards,
Rosen Matev

Since you're talking about doing some 3D rendering, go for the stronger CPU. 3D design programs rely more on the CPU than the GPU, since it provides more consistent visuals. Are you sure you need a laptop? You'd get more performance/dollar with a desktop. Portability has its price after all.
