I'm looking to add some more ram to my compt, I currently have a Abit IC7-Max3, P4 2.6c@3GHz, 512mb OCZ DDR533 Dual Ch. (2x256), GF 6800 GT and Segate Baracuda 7200.7 HD 120 GB SATA. I mainly play FPS and RTS games like Doom3(which isn't that great), Halo, HL2(when it comes out), UT2004, Ground Controle 2, Warhammer Dawn of war ect.. I noticed that when I upgraded from 256 to 512 last year that my load times in games was cut in half. Especially in UT, would adding another 512 reduce the chop in games like Doom 3?? On some levels it loads every few seconds during the beginning of missions, and gets choppy as it pauses to load. Some times if you need to beable to fight during the first part it becomes irritating. After the level is restarted 2 or 3 times it doesn't do that cause its alreadyt loaded. Would 1 GB or ram help eliminate or reduce the chop?

P4 2.6c@3, OCZ DDR533

Thx. I just got it today, it is sweet, my load times are about the same, but there is absolutely no chop in D3, I'm running it on High at about 66 fps average @1024x768 with 4xAA, no chop whatsoever! This is great. Now my HD doesn't run all the time when i close out of the game either, suppose its cause it doesn't have to use the paging file on the hd.
