Samsung's NV10 features an innovative user interface, but noise in the images and a few missing features keep it from being a clear winner.

More about : samsung nv10 sleek innovative megapixels

you did not mention what lens was used on the Rebel XTi. that is one of the biggest determiners of sharpness. i could see if you used the kit lens it would be a fair comparison. but if you used an outstanding lens like the 24-70L then the disparity in sharpness takes on a whole new light.

thanks

Samsung better have paid you a whole lot of money. Its a horrible camera.....there are almost no 10MP point and shoot cameras that are good. PERIOD!! Not the Sony N2, not the HP, not the samsung, The only one that is decent is the SD900.

First off....comparing this POS to an SLR?? you should be shot in the face...that will help with your choices. Why not compare it to its peers and leave it at that??

You rarely review cameras, and when you do they are poorly done, and the cameras are nearly discontinued. Reveiw some good ones. Review the new ones and the ones people might actually buy.

The best samsung on the planet is horrible. Bad lens, bad sensor, bad proc., bad everything. I would take a $199 5MP canon A530 over that POS any day.

Well, I have some thoughs on this..

It is sleek and has a nice design, but thats where the goods stop.
I used this camera for 2 weeks and returned it.
The pictures were loaded with noise and you had to be in a perfect scenario to get anything that resembled a good shot.
Just google reviews. They all suck. This camera has been out for a while now. There are a ton of comments on it.

If you are planning to spend this kinda money on a cam buy the canon.

After almost throwing this one off the wall i bought the PS G7.

Tom's needs to review that camera. I am very inpressed with it, even if it does not shot raw. It is a nice addition to the Ps family and fit in my pocket unlike my DSLR.

Even when the wife uses it on fully automatic, she gets great shots.

So in closing, the Sam NV10 looks good and indeed is 10MP but is in no way innovative to what other's are doing.
Mabye Toms did a decent write up cause they got a camera free I dunno.
