Would like to know if there is any upconverting software that can be used on a xp media center pc for enhanced dvd playback --- have a ati x1300 pro video card with high def output --- just like to know if there is any software for upconverting dvd (or any other media that is on my pc) to high def output ---or is this something you need special video card for????

just to clarify --- realize that output would not be true high def --- just heard that upconverting does provide a noticeable increase in quality

I remember seeing someone using this at the lumenlab's forum (projector DIY'ers), but when I went back I couldn't find it. I believe he had good results.

I am curious about the same thing, so I thought I'd give you a 'bump'.

Anybody?
