Sup y'all, I'm in the market for a new mouse since Iranian new year is about to come (yay me ), and I am having a bit of difficulty choosing on this, I have already decided on a keyboard, having tested out both the logitech g15 and an ergonomics keyboard, I found this board to accomplish my needs, especially since I am hearing problems with people accidently hitting the macro buttons on the g15; microsoft natural keyboard 4000

So anyways, I wanted a nice mouse to go with it, and I am having difficulty choosing between a razer, g7, g5 (I prefer the g7's looks and wireless capabilities though), the mx518, and I also have looked at the mx1000 and have tried it (very comfortable interface imo), but it isn't really meant for gaming, especially with the way it charges it's battery
Thanks, a taco to anyone that can really help me out (but please no discussions on tacos until after I at least get some information on a nice mouse ).
I really like my Logitech wireless combo (m500 I think, its pretty old). The mouse it comes with has forward/back buttons on the side, a scrolling wheel and scroll buttons, and a tabbed window button (years before Vista, HA HA). Plus, its ergonomically designed to fit your hand. Its not the best gaming mouse, but for overall use, I love it.
well, i can't say that i have much experience with the matter, using my lowly normal-grade logitech for my gaming... but i did some research after my dinner (which was fantastic, i just thought you should know ), and i think that i would personally go for the g5 over the g7 or other mice. it looks pretty sweet, i think i'll get one myself. but it seems like a good price/whatyouget ratio (you can't really say price/performance for mice, can you....?)
I actually was about to get the G5 for $30, god damn i shoulda for my new comp, but didnt cause i was lazy.
I would say that with any of these mice, you will be happy.
Just go try them out, or if you cant, jsut go by reviews.
No mouse is perfect, but these are pretty damn close.
hmm, priceerformance of mice, well, I'd have to say that would be the dpi and features compared to the price, but it would be more valuerice than performance. But I'll take your suggestion, I'm just really headed towards the g7, and I'm wondering about razer or other top brands

ME helping TACOS?!?
thats a change of pace.
we're the same age remember, I just happen to have an excellent mentor that is constantly teaching me, so I owe it all to him, but I'm always open to advice

as long as it doesn't have a ball, your Ninja mentor won't encourage seppuku
sorry, could you repeat that in a away a stupid person like me could understand?
bah shuddap mr. 4.0
i was saying that as long as your mouse doesn't operate with a ball, ninja's (who you say mentors you) codes of honor will not require you to take your life to protect your honor.... get it? it was so much better before i had to explain it, you ruiner of jokes. maybe i spelled seppuku wrong. its when a samurai stabs themself?
that helps, I didn't know what seppuku meant
Anyways, I think I will just go to bestbuy or compusa and see if they'll let me try both out to see which is more comfortable
And the reason why I get 4.0s is because I am soooooo stupid it goes backwards 8O

Actually, there may be some merit to that theory. Only 1 or 2 of the top 10 in my graduating class were really what I would call intelligent rather than book smart.
I happen to be pretty book smart because my dad forces me to go to skewl on saturdays to learn math way over the level I should be at, but I generally don't show it or tell many people because I just don't think that's something to really be bragging about. I personally put friendship, a life outside of skewl, and baseball over grades, but that could be just me
I think you misinterpreted what I meant. I didn't mean book smart like scholarly, I meant that they can memorize what they need for tests and such, but they couldn't actually apply their knowledge, or didn't actually know much about the subject matter outside of the course material.
There were three, maybe four kids that I thought were really highly intelligent in my class. We didn't care about grades though. We were more concerned with having lives, sports, not being bored out of our freaking skulls by having to go ever the same material repeatedly for those that struggled to understand it (I don't consider myself better than any of them, or anyone, just telling the truth that I was bored).
Plus our ranking system was based on total credits possible divided by credits earned, so you were rewarded for taking extra classes. SO the "top" students took four years of a language, sometimes two languages in a year (Latin and Spanish or French). I on the hand, had study hall first and last period of every day senior year, which meant I could get in a little late (our teacher was young and a pushover), take a nap on my desk, leave one period before anyone else (great school policy), and get home to plow my GF while they were still in school. Who do you think enjoyed Senior year more?
Yeah, I'm going to take easy A classes in my senior year, I already skipped a grade of math (could have done two, but I didn't want to seem too nerdy) and might possibly skip physics since I had already learned in dpeth physics (At a high school level) from a different source, but if I do that, then I can take one or two classes at the University of Michigan, sleep the other 4 (only will take 6 that year, taking 7 now) and get a college proffessor's recommendation, so I get into the U of M without a sweat

awh man mr. easy route. i have no idea how i'm going to get to college, but i AM. my schedule is a frickin mess because of my move, and the change from non-block to block scheduling. i'm a credit behind, if they've even accepted all of my credits to begin with.... so basically i've gotta sort everything out, which will probably mean going to nightschool and/or summerschool. which i'm not excited about. but i really need to kick it up in school.
i should probably learn how to study sometime, too
well, have you ever considered college in India? I'm being serious when I'm saying this, I have a bunch of Indian friends and they're all geniouses, anyways, college and dorm is a helluva cheaper there, not to mention once you get in (actually quite difficult), you come out a genious. I have my eyes set on the U of M, but I have considered all the possibilities
Anyways, I got my keyboard fixed, very nice board to use, and I would recommend it to anyone that knows how to type, taco gives it 9 tacos out of 10 (minus one taco since it takes some getting used to and is big)
you got your keyboard FIXED? i thought that you were buying that new microsoft 11ty billion keyboard or w/e
well because you had to fix it i assume that it was broken. thats a shame, but its cool that its working now. its the one with the split ergo-type design, and the scrollie thing in the middle? i may look into one, this ole IBM 8O from circa '97 when my folks last bought a comp doesn't really inspire that much awe.
