Recently i bought a SB Live! 5.1 Digital Sound card( Model Number is SB0060 ) ,
I put in the proper PCI slot and rebooted the machine.
on starting up it detected the Soundcard and installed it and loaded the default driver.(it did n't ask for the install driver .. etc)
Upon putting the Installation CD(came along with sound card) and running it causes Error messages to appear
"Setup Could not detect Sblive card hardware Installation aborted"....
i tried puting the card in different PCI slot
i formmated the entire HDD and then tried with fresh OS Installation
i flashed my bios and updated to latest version
i changed the irq number too
Also
1) Went thru the registry
\HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI
infact there was no subkey starting with the VEN_1102&DEV_0002&SUBSYS_xxxxxxx.
(
as someone suggested that
According to the SUBSYS number (which consists of the Subsystem ID and Subsystem Vendor ID equal to 1102h, Creative)
it should be PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0002&SUBSYS_80611102 for SB0060. i.e. the subsystem ID should be 8061
)
2) After uninstalling default driver I renamed wdma10k1.inf & PNF files and rebooted
But it still didn't ask for new driver and installed with default driver...
So renamed wdma_ens.inf & PNF file (instead of above inf files) and rebooted, upon starting win2k finally asked for the drivers.
I downloaded the latest driver (LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe) from creative website and extracted the to local folder.
When I try to update driver or specify the driver location (have disk...) to local folder where I have extracted the latest creative drivers.. Win2k didn't found any thing
3) I also tried running CTAPZZ.exe (came inside the audio folder of LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe) and install WDM but nothing seems to work
Serial no. M1SB0068866049500J
Model NO. SB0060
Still not able to install creative drivers and associated application.
