how do i turn on my automatic update. it seems to be disabled somehow and i
cant turn it on ...please help me

I'm sorry, but this is not enough information for you to get a good
answer. Your post is the equivalent of saying, "it's broken". Go here
to get help in making a good post:

Then do come back and repost with all necessary details. There are lots
of people reading this newsgroup who want to help you (like me), but
you have to give us something with which to work.

In the meantime, please do the normal troubleshooting by starting with a
scan with your antivirus in Safe Mode. You should have a full-featured
av installed, version not earlier than 2004, using updated definitions.

Also, when troubleshooting always ask yourself, "what changed between
the time things worked and the time they didn't". You should include
that information in your next post, along with any troubleshooting
steps you've already taken.

Download by all means but never let them install automatically! Check boards
like these for a few days before actually installing. I speak from painful
experience!
