Screen shutsdown

I dont know what the problem is. Lately, i have been experiencing some weird stuff on my computer.

One in particular is that my screen just automatically turns off. All the lights in my tower are still on. Even the video card.
what could the fault may be? Has anyone ever experienced this before? Please help. Its really annoying. I spent about $1000 on this comp and it hasnt even been 6 months and im already experiencing some problems.

Does it say "No video signal" on the screen when it goes blank, or does the monitor stand-by/power lamp go off completely when it happens?

If the former, try a new signal cable from PC to monitor.
If still same, check that the video card is seated properly.
If it is seated properly, the card may be faulty.

If the latter (monitor standby/power lamp goes off completely), suspect a faulty monitor. You can double-check this by connecting a different, known-working monitor.

Im guessing its just that no video signal.. when it happens again im gonna try to connect it on the hdmi .
