How to reset desktop icons

I downloaded move player I tried to run it by real player ,all icons on desktop became labeled R and none of them works correctly

are you sure that you have downloaded only movie file of any virus junks ...

scan your pc with antivirus + get malwarebytes & scan it in safe mode..

better do a system restore after cleaning virus
& get ccleaner and perform registry scan to remove registry errors.

It's a common problem when a new program gets wrongly registered as the default for files it cant use.
A quick registry fix will solve it but need to know the verion of windows you have.
